Week 8 - Linking Frames and Creating a Simulate Download Animation
This week we created 2 scenes within a scene and used animated buttons to link them. I have perfected the animated button idea and used the rotating stars that I have used for my clients website. We had to create two animated buttons and place them in a scene. Then create two image animations so that when the buttons are clicked each image is shown in the assigned area of the page.
The simulate download function is to let the user know that the webpage is loading, which is useful for feedback otherwise the user may think the site is not working and click off.
I have pretty much finished my website for my client now. He emailed me with changes and ideas so I have made amendments to the site. I have added the simulate download animation as I think is important to have. I have also created new music which is an 18 frame loop that can be switched on and off when required which I found on a flash tutorial site http://www.smartwebby.com/Flash/sound_button.asp
I have continued to look at other fashion orientated flash sites and looked at http://www.diesel.com and http://www.dior.com. The Diesel sites flash is amazing and I wish i could of created something that good for my client but oh well! I wanted to replicate the idea on Dior.com of when you mouseover an image of a model wearing the clothes, a description of what is worn would appear but I just made a movie clip and the writing faded in. I have also made mini movie clips that play in the background to make it look more interesting when it is stopped on a static page between links.
