Using Powerpoint I have done several designs for the home page of the web site which I am designing. Powerpoint is a program that I have become familiar with, using this I have created designs to give a good description of my ideas on this project. I have presented these designs to my client and they have given me positive feedback on the designs and what colours and themes they require for the site.
The client has given me an example of a site that they like and want me to keep in mind when I am designing it. The site has got a massive black and white photo with animation on its home page. The rest of the page is predominantly black with highlights of yellow. The client says they wanted a bright colour in the site, something "vibrant and unexpected". The example site also has music that comes on once you enter it. This is something the client also requires as she is a singer on wants music she has produced to play when you go onto the site.
Photography for the site will take place quite late on as both the client and my self have other commitments. I have asked the client to send any pictures which they mite already have that I could use site. I have kept in regular contact over the phone and e-mail to help establish what the client requires.
Getting these ideas onto Flash, the software required for creating this web site, will be the next challenge. Flash, unlike Powerpoint is a program I am not yet to confident using but it will offer more variation in what animations I can create and also the input of audio data.
