There is no class session this week, so we have some free time to work on our websites.
A few days ago I got in contact with my client and showed them my website, which was nearly complete. I asked them to give me their opinion on what they did and didn't like, and what they would like me to change or add. They liked the design but had a few ideas on how they would like me to change it. They pointed out that in the gallery, the pictures looked a bit squashed and distorted. This was true, because I resized them in Flash so they were all the same height. They also didn't like the sound that I used for the menu buttons, which I admit was a bit annoying. Finally, they thought that the main text would look better if it was justified.
After thinking about what they said I agreed with them completely. I changed the pictures by editing them first in Photoshop to get them down to the right size and then imported them into Flash. That stopped them from looking weird. Then I went to flashkit.com to find a better sound for the menu buttons. I found a really good click sound that wasn't as loud and high-pitched as the previous one, and used that one instead. Finally I justified all the main text on the website. This made it look much better and also made the layout look more organised.
The website is completely finished now unless I decide to change it in the next week before I give my presentation. But at the moment I'm happy with the site.
Before next Friday I need to show the site to my client again to get their feedback after the changes I made. Then I need to make my presentaion and final report, and put all of my work for the module on a CD-Rom.
